Ophelia Wild is a bonafide hermit finding healing and joy in the simple things after starting life anew in midcoast Maine. She loves to cuddle under a blanket watching Food Network with her furry familiars Louis & Jersey. She enjoys the company of her cozy little family and a few amazing friends. And she thrives on solitude, rainy days, moss, lofi music, and Dr. Pepper. What more could anyone want?

Oh yes—books! A hermit could not survive without books. Not only does Ophelia read them, she writes them too! As a trauma survivor, Ophelia reads and writes stories that help regulate and soothe her nervous system.

Her protagonists find themselves immersed in fantastical worlds where they often possess newfound magical powers, meet adorable sentient creatures, and find healthy love and forge family bonds—with those who see and love all of them, enveloping them in safety and inspiring them to empowerment.

Ophelia holds an MFA in Creative Writing and her debut novel, Piper of Hollow Park, is in pre-submission editing. She also writes book reviews on her blog. Elphie by Gregory Maguire and Behooved by M. Stevenson are up now! A cozy speculative fiction storytelling online video course and literary house are in development.

Ophelia offers cozy fantasy and sci-fi developmental editing and book coaching for a limited number of clients and aligned collaborations with authors. She’s a hermit y’all!
